Tehran, Tarna- The first major gathering of Iranian poets, coinciding with the birthday of Professor Hormoz Alipour, was held at th International Didar Institute, with the participation of prominent literary figures from Iran and other Persian-speaking countries. The event, organized by the Tarna International News Agency, was dedicated to honoring the invaluable contributions of Professor Alipour to Persian poetry and literature
Hormoz Alipour, born on March 4, 1947, in Ahvaz, began his artistic career in 1964 through the Ferdowsi magazine. He is recognized as one of the leading poets of the Pure Poetry movement and is considered one of the most influential voices in modern Iranian poetry today
The event began with a performance by Dr. Sharif Reza Majd, followed by a piano performance by Anoushiravan Pouyan, and later, music and singing by Babak Ghaderi, which gave a special atmosphere to the ceremony. Attendees commemorated Alipour by reciting poems and sharing their personal memories of him
A specialized panel was held during the gathering with the participation of Ashkan Samet and Hanif Khorshidi. Distinguished poets such as Akbar Ketabdar, Jamal Big, Mostafa Rahmandoust, Asghar Ali Karami, Saadyar, and Reza Panahian Alavars also recited poems, adding a warm and literary atmosphere to the event
Keyvan Golzarnia, the secretary of the event, discussed the goals of the gathering: Our aim is to organize these events on a global scale and introduce Persian poets and literary giants to the world. In the coming year, we have the Tarna International Book Award, which, with your support, can serve as a mirror reflecting the poets of Iran on the global stage
